Bio: Patric Jensfeldt is a professor of computer science and head of the division for Robotics, Perception and Learning (RPL) at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). His interest is mainly centred around robotics and autonomous systems. He likes to put theory into practice and is driven by problems rather than methods. Even after 20+ years in the field, a robot that actually does something on its own makes him excited. Patric Jensfeldt has spent quite some energy into taking the methods from academia out into the real world, mainly through the company Intelligent Machines.
The goal of curtain talks is to provide the background and explain the significance of equations for the digital transformation of modern societies.
