Paul Walton is bridging chemistry, equality, and digital futures

Paul Walton, a leading figure in bioinorganic chemistry and an internationally known advocate for equality in science, is set to bring his dual expertise to KTH as Digital Futures’ Scholar-in-Residence. His career spans more than three decades of pioneering research, including the discovery of the histidine brace in copper oxidases, a finding that reshaped our understanding of these essential enzymes. CAVeaT project featured on Swedish TV4

Connected Automated Vehicles trialling and Trustworthiness – CAVeaT, funded by Digital Futures, is building the foundations for public road trials on KTH campus roads, with long-term ambitions to expand the operational design domain and foster open science. Digital Futures welcomes new Executive Director

At Digital Futures, we are proud to announce Annika Szabo Portela as our new Executive Director. Annika brings over two decades of international experience from leading medical, technical, and business-oriented academic institutions in Sweden, the United Kingdom, and France. With a PhD in medical science from Karolinska Institutet, she has combined her background as a speech-language pathologist and researcher with a passion for strategic innovation and digital transformation…

Digital Futures Summer Research Internship 2025 concluded with poster session

Throughout the summer, students from KTH and Stockholm University had the opportunity to develop their research skills and work closely with researchers affiliated with Digital Futures. At the final session, students presented the results of their projects through a total of 63 posters, divided into two sessions. The audience voted for the best poster in each group. And the winners are…Kaushiki Brahma and Henrique Sambi.
