Xylem joins Digital Futures Industrial & Societal Partnership Programme

Digitalization has the potential to create a more resource-efficient and viable society. With the vision to shape a sustainable society through digital transformation, Digital Futures, is now welcoming Xylem as a new partner.

Xylem is a leading water technology company committed to “solving water” by creating innovative and smart technology solutions to meet the world’s water, wastewater and energy needs.

“We’re proud and excited to welcome Xylem as a partner of Digital Futures. In a world of ever-growing challenges, Xylem delivers innovative water technology solutions throughout the cycle of water”, says Karl H Johansson, Director of Digital Futures.

“Water is essential to life, and at Xylem, we’re committed to solving the world’s most critical water challenges. We transport, treat, and test water to ensure its quality. Innovation and research are critical to our success, which is why we are proud to be part of an eco-system such as Digital Futures”, says Ulf Carlsson, Director Innovation & Predevelopment at Xylem Water Infrastructure.

“Xylem’s portfolio of products, solutions and services across the life cycle of water is unmatched. In addition to minimizing energy usage and lowering life-cycle costs, our solutions help customers around the world reach their sustainability goals in both water and wastewater applications”, continues Ulf Carlsson.

Collaboration with companies and the public sector gives researchers increased insight into various societal challenges and access to data and testbeds. This way, research can focus more closely on concrete problems and contribute to a more sustainable society.

The eco-system of stakeholders, referred to as the Industrial and Societal Partnership Programme, was established in April 2022 and includes, at present City of Stockholm, Region Stockholm, AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Saab, Scania and Skanska.
