Entrepreneurship & Innovation Workshop – From PhD research to real-world impact
This 2-day interactive workshop, delivered by Crowdhelix and hosted at KTH within the VAMOR Doctoral Network with co-funding from Digital Futures, gives doctoral candidates and postdocs practical tools to turn research into impact.
Participants will look at what innovation means for academic research, how to manage the dual researcher/founder role, and how to tell whether a topic is ready for a spin-off. They will also cover alternatives such as licensing and consulting. Further sessions map the funding landscape (grants, angels, VCs, accelerators, bridge funding for the founding year), founding structures, and how to prioritize product, marketing and legal decisions.
The format will be hands-on: case studies, role-play, and interdisciplinary group work.
