SEC scholar 1 May – 30 September 2026
Dr. Zonghui Li received the B.S. degree in computer science from the Beijing Information Science and Technology Universityin 2010, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Microelectronics and the School of Software, Tsinghua University,Beijing, China, in 2014 and 2019, respectively. He is currently an associate professor in the School of Computer and Information Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China.
His research interests include time-sensitive networking, deterministic 5G/B5G/6G communication, real-time embedded systems, especially for industrial control networks. He has published over 40 papers in top-tier journals and conferences such as IEEE JSAC, ACM/IEEE Trans. Networking, ICNP, and RTAS, and holds 12 authorized invention patents. He has received honors including the 31st ICCD best paper award, the 2019 Beijing Outstanding Doctoral Graduate, the 2023 Top 100 Outstanding Postdocs of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
Dr. Zonghui Li plans to conduct collaborate research with Prof. Ming Xiao and his group on AI-driven time-sensitive communication. Time-sensitive communication is of fundamental importance in networked Industry 4.0 and cyber-physical systems such as airplane/vehicular control, robotic networks, and the Industrial Internet of Things.
The time-sensitive communication problems are very challenging as the dimensionality and computational complexity rapidly increase, due to the dynamic and uncertain network status, as well as strong couplingsamong different terminal users with heterogeneities in, e.g., QoS provisioning, network resource, and mobility. AI-driven methods such as deep reinforcement learning (DRL) are been developing as promising solution to address high dimensional and continuous control problems effectively.
