This event will cover a spectrum of relevant topics within the scope of energy transition & digitalization (to be brought forward by a group of international keynote speakers representing both academia and industry) while also reflecting upon the missions of CIGRE Next Generation Network (NGN) and IEEE PES Women in Power (WiP). The event will moreover be co-hosted by IEEE PES/PELS Joint Chapter Sweden.

13:00  Welcome and introduction to IEEE Women in Power (WiP) Sweden by Dr Marina Oluic, Chair

• Introduction to CIGRE Next Generation Network (NGN) by Cigre NGN Sweden, UK and Ireland chapters’ representatives
• Keynote speeches:
  • “Research and development on energy transition, digitalisation and cybersecurity” by Olamide Jogunola, Lecturer in Cyber Security and Smart Grids at Manchester Metropolitan University
  • “Journey to plan-led offshore wind in Ireland” by Louise O’Flanagan, Head of Engineering & Asset Management at the Irish TSO EirGrid
  • “Ancillary services of the future” by Robert Eriksson, Professor at Uppsala University and Power System Specialist at the Swedish TSO Svenska kraftnät
  • “Controlling the digital power grid – what do we need to know?” by Lars Nordström, Professor & Head of the Electric Power and Energy Systems Division at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Expert at the Swedish TSO Svenska kraftnät
