Digital Futures welcomes four new members to its Strategic Research Committee (SRC), the group responsible for shaping the organization’s long-term research strategy, identifying emerging research areas, prioritizing project calls, and supporting initiatives that strengthen collaboration across the research community.

New SRC Members

  • Arvind Kumar – Associate Professor, KTH; Chair, Rich and Healthy Life Working Group
  • Olga Viberg – Associate Professor, KTH; Chair, Educational Transformation Working Group
  • Kathlén Kohn – Associate Professor, KTH; Chair, Learn Working Group

The committee is chaired by Pawel Herman, Associate Director of Strategic Research at Digital Futures:

Our Strategic Research Committee is central to ensuring that Digital Futures remains ambitious, forward-looking, and deeply collaborative. With these new members, we strengthen our capacity for driving scientific excellence, energize our commitment to strategic renewal, and reinforce the cross-cutting communities that make our research ecosystem so dynamic. Their expertise and leadership will help us identify new opportunities and drive impactful research that  benefits society at large through digitalisation, in line with the mission of Digital Futures.

Guided by Digital Futures’ core principles—scientific excellence, strategic renewal, and cross-cutting communities—the SRC plays a key role in ensuring the quality, impact, and forward-looking direction of the Strategic Research Programme. Its work includes supporting talented researchers, exploring bold new ideas, and fostering collaboration across academia, industry, and the public sector.
