It’s all about communication!

Picture of Johanna Gavefalk at Digital FuturesWe talked to Johanna Gavefalk, Chief Communications Officer at Digital Futures, about communications and branding.

People at Digital Futures seems to be rather busy?
– True, the last three months have been hectic, fun and rewarding. Digital Futures was inaugurated in October, and then hosted and arranged the event “Digitalize in Stockholm” on 9-10 November, followed by the event Future Digileaders. Our events have not only generated external interest and awareness, but also enabled people within our community to share research results with each other.

Digital Futures has its own “brand” – why is that?
– Digital Futures was jointly established by KTH, Stockholm University and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, hence it was important to create a distinctive profile that would bring us all together – our own word image, colour palette and fonts. This together with the new website, social media channels and this newsletter enables everyone at Digital Futures to convey the Digital Futures message and personality.

You are new in this position, tell us a little bit about yourself!
– I have a broad international communications and marketing background – from competitive international companies within FMCG (fast moving consumer goods), the telecom industry, the European innovation and education field, Swedish real estate market and non-profit organizations. I am always curious about what’s going on and like challenges, hence working at Digital Futures feels like the perfect match. I love to engage and look forward to driving the strategic communications of Digital Futures, building the brand together with colleagues and partners – Together we will shape the future!
