Digital Futures Summer Research Internship 2025 concluded with poster session

The Digital Futures Summer Research Internship (SRI) 2025, which ran for eight weeks from June to July, concluded on August 26 with a well-attended poster session. Throughout the summer, students from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University had the opportunity to develop their research skills and work closely with researchers affiliated with Digital Futures.

At the final session, students presented the results of their projects through a total of 63 posters, divided into two sessions. The audience voted for the best poster in each group.

Winner in Group 1: Kaushiki Brahma with the project “Safety and Sound: Integrating spatial, acoustic, and perceptual data in the EV zone in Stockholm” (supervisor: Vania Ceccato, ABE; co-supervisor: Karl Bolin).
Winner in Group 2: Henrique Sambi with the project “Enhancing Nuanced Experiential Qualities from Technology-initiated Touch” (supervisor: Madeleine Balaam; co-supervisor: Caroline Yan Cheng, EECS).

Warm congratulations to the winners, and a big well done to all students for their impressive work and dedication throughout the summer!

This year’s SRI program was coordinated by Assistant Professors Ioana-Oriana Bercea and Giuseppe Belgioioso (KTH) and offered a mix of mentorship, seminars, panel discussions, and social activities.
