Funda Ergulec is an associate professor in the department of Instructional Technology at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Turkey. She holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University and a Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Cincinnati. Her research focuses on digital transformation in education, instructional design, and the ethical and pedagogical implications of emerging technologies in education, particularly artificial intelligence.
Her research visit will focus on a study exploring the future of higher education through scenario-based methods. In collaboration with Prof. Stefan Hrastinski, the project involves the organization and analysis of fictional scenarios developed by pre-service teachers that envision AI-driven educational futures. The visit will also include participation in research seminars and provide opportunities for academic exchange and future collaboration.
