Please review the information to determine the most appropriate affiliation based on your role and engagement with Digital Futures. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply by submitting an application form with your motivation, contribution plans, and CV.

Note: You qualify automatically if you hold a faculty position and serve on key Digital Futures boards or committees, are an ICT TNG faculty member, or are a PI/co-PI in a Digital Futures-funded project. Even if you qualify automatically, you must submit a formal application to be officially recognized as a Digital Futures faculty member.

It is strongly encouraged and allowed to state Digital Futures as another affiliation in all published papers and other outreach activities for you and your group. Find out more below.

FAQ

What happens if a Digital Futures faculty member or affiliated scholar leaves their organisation?

They will no longer keep their Digital Futures affiliation and will automatically become Digital Futures faculty alumni.

What happens if a Digital Futures faculty member or affiliated scholar leaves a position at Digital Futures (e.g., IIP, ISB)?

They will keep their Digital Futures affiliation as long as they remain employed by KTH, SU, or RISE.

What happens if a Digital Futures faculty member or affiliated scholar moves between KTH, SU, or RISE?

They will keep their Digital Futures status as long as they continue to meet the eligibility criteria.

How should projects funded by Digital Futures be acknowledged in published papers?

The preferred and encouraged method is to list Digital Futures as a second affiliation. Alternatively, Digital Futures may be mentioned in the acknowledgements, though this is not necessary if it is already given as a second affiliation.

Examples:

  • If you are affiliated with KTH: Anna Andersson, EECS and Digital Futures, KTH Royal Institute of Technology
  • If you are at Stockholm University or RISE: Frank Smith, Stockholm University and Digital Futures
  • If you are at a partner company: Frank Smith, Name of Company and Digital Futures
  • If you wish to mention Digital Futures in the acknowledgements: This work was in part financially supported by Digital Futures.
Is it possible to resign as a Digital Futures faculty member, affiliated scholar, or alumnus?
