Abstract: In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to Google’s PageRank method, a short history behind it, as well as its applicability beyond the ranking of web pages.
Bio: Sarunas Girdzijauskas is an associate professor at the Software and Computer Systems (SCS) division at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His research focuses on Information Network Analytics, Decentralized Machine Learning, Data Mining, distributed systems, and blockchain technologies. Sarunas got his PhD from EPFL, Switzerland in 2009.
The goal of curtain talks is to provide the background and explain the significance of equations for the digital transformation of modern societies.
