We invite KTH-Digital Futures faculty members to nominate students for the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH)–University of California Berkeley (UCB) Summer Exchange Research Programme, which offers undergraduate (3rd year of a BSC) and graduate students (First year of a MSc program) a unique opportunity to engage in international research collaboration.
Purpose
This programme provides KTH students with hands-on research experience and exposure to cutting-edge research at one of the world’s most prestigious universities—UCB, and vice versa — by working on specific research projects under the guidance of experienced mentors.
By taking part in this programme, students will also develop professional networks and gain valuable experience for future academic and industry pursuits.
Eligibility
Undergraduate (3rd year of a BSC) and graduate students (First year of a MSc program) from all academic disciplines with a strong academic record and a genuine interest in international research are eligible to be nominated. The student must continue his/her studies at KTH after finishing the internship.
What the call offers
A maximum of 6 KTH students will be selected to take part in an 8–10-week research internship, supervised by a UCB faculty member. Besides the research experience, the programme offers:
- Financial support to cover flight tickets in economy class, visa fees and administrative fees at UCB, and accommodation in a shared room, and a meal package at the UCB International House1. The total funding per outgoing student is up to 90,000 SEK.
- During the internship, students will be covered by KTH insurance for students travelling abroad2
