Relational Aspects of Care in Intimate Digital Health Technologies

About the Digital Futures Postdoc Fellow
Deepika Yadav completed her PhD from the department of computer science, IIIT-Delhi, India, in August 2021. She works in the field of Human-Computer Interaction with a focus on global development problems. In her PhD research, she worked on the training challenge of frontline health workers in India by designing, developing, and deploying mobile training solutions. Her work makes an important contribution in identifying the core training gaps and the role alternative mobile training and learning platforms can play for frontline health workers in resource-constrained settings.

As a postdoctoral fellow at Digital Futures, she will work on the theme of Rich and Healthy Life by studying care relationships in the context of women’s reproductive health. She aims to examine how do women interact with various care relationships – personal, social, and organizational while going through different bodily changes and how might the designs of the digital health systems nurture them.
